The important small print — written in plain English, not legalese.
Health disclaimer
Everything on this site is written from personal experience. I am not a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, or any kind of medical professional. Nothing here should be taken as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If you think you or your child may have ADHD, or if you’re struggling with anything described on this site, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional — your GP is a good starting point.
The strategies, tips, and resources I share are things that have worked for me or my family. They may not work for you, and that’s completely okay. Every person’s experience of ADHD is different.
Privacy policy
I take your privacy seriously, and I want to be straightforward about what this site does and doesn’t do with your information.
What data is collected
This site is hosted on WordPress.com, which is run by a company called Automattic. When you visit, their servers record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. That’s standard for any website and it’s how the site gets delivered to you.
I don’t run sign-up forms, user accounts or comment sections here.
If you email me at hello@ourwavelength.co.uk, the message passes through WordPress.com’s email forwarding to my own inbox. I’ll only use your email address to reply to you. I won’t add you to any list or share it with anyone.
Analytics
WordPress.com gives me simple visitor statistics: how many people visited and which pages they read. I see totals, not individuals. I may also use Google Search Console to see how people find the site through search, which doesn’t identify you either.
Cookies
WordPress.com uses a small number of cookies to make the site work and to count visits for those statistics. I don’t use advertising or tracking cookies of my own. You can read how Automattic handles data in their privacy policy.
Third-party links
This site contains links to external websites — Amazon, ADHD UK, Reddit, and others. Once you leave this site, their privacy policies apply, not this one. I’d encourage you to check their policies if you’re concerned.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to request its deletion, and to raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). If you have any questions, email me at hello@ourwavelength.co.uk.
Affiliate links
Currently, none of the links on this site are affiliate links — I don’t earn anything if you click through and buy a book or sign up for a tool. Everything recommended is something I genuinely use or have found helpful.
If that ever changes, I’ll say so clearly on the relevant page. Transparency matters to me.
Copyright
All written content on this site is my own. You’re welcome to quote from it with attribution and a link back, but please don’t reproduce it wholesale without asking first.
