Welcome to Our Wavelength

You're not broken.
Your brain just works differently.

I'm Dave. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult — and I'm raising a son who has it too. This site is where I share what that's really like: the chaos, the breakthroughs, the guilt, the growth, and everything in between.

What is Our Wavelength?

For years I moved through life feeling like everyone else had been given an instruction manual I never received. Losing things, forgetting things, talking too much, struggling to finish anything — and carrying a low-level sense of shame about all of it.

Getting my ADHD diagnosis in my forties changed everything. It didn't fix anything overnight, but it gave me a frame. A way to understand myself with compassion instead of frustration.

And then there's my son. Watching him navigate the same challenges — at school, with friends, with his own sense of who he is — while trying to be the parent I never had: that's the other half of this story.

This site isn't a clinical resource. It's not written by a professional. It's just one dad, sharing honestly. If something here resonates, I'm really glad you found it.

"The moment I stopped trying to fix myself and started trying to understand myself — everything shifted. I became a better father, a better partner, and honestly, a much kinder version of myself."
